MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB:

 Factory based, wiring of doors, control panels and associated equipment. This includes drilling, cutting, fabrication, fitting and assembly of sub-assemblies and motor drives, commissioning and testing of completed product.

 

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Completing set works accurately, timely and efficiently.

  • Completing all required documentation accurately, timely and efficiently including time records, test and inspection plans, materials use, stocktaking, purchase requirements and database entry.
  • Commissioning and final test of equipment and diligently completing necessary documentation.
  • Working within a team, committed and contributing to the team to the best of your ability.
  • Reading of drawings and able to follow technical instructions.

 

SKILLS /TRAINING:

 Electrically qualified to City and Guilds or equivalent

  • Completed an electrical apprenticeship
  • Diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Good organisation skills
  • Ability to work on own and show initiative
  • Demonstrate responsibility
  • Work safely
  • Professional appearance
  • Experience of wiring and commissioning of equipment
  • Colour vision
  • Work methodically and attention to detail
  • Skilled in wiring, testing and commissioning

 

OTHER POTENTIAL SCOPE:

 Multi-tasking other trades within the business

  • Flexible working times with willingness to undertake overtime when capacity warrants.
  • Servicing and fault finding on site.

PLACE OF WORK:
Production, Redburn Road, Westerhope

HOURS:
Monday – Friday; 39 hour week and available for reasonable overtime as needed per week

SALARIED OR HOURLY:
Hourly

PAY PERIOD:
Weekly

REPORTS TO:
The Production Manager, with day to day supervision via the Foreman and Electrical Technician
