Dubai International Airport has been the winner of the best Middle East Airport for the last 4 years.  Expansion and improvements to the airport are ongoing and Hart recently supplied high speed doors to Terminal 1 baggage hall.

Qatar 2024 Olympic Bid

Qatar for the 2024 Olympics?

The bid preparations for Qatar to host the 2024 Summer Olympic Games are well underway.  Alan Richardson, Harts’ export manager, met with the Qatar Olympic committee in June 2012 to establish our presence and capability in providing high quality doors solutions as we did on the London 2012 Olympic main stadium.

Turning over a new Leaf

Hart have recently completed the installation of 100 new innovative doors which were required for the new manufacturing process about to be introduced in the new Nissan battery plant manufacturing facility.

The staff at Nissan are now gearing up for production of the company’s new lithium-ion battery in the New Year, ahead of Nissan LEAF production beginning at Sunderland in 2013.

Ikea Doha

A number of doors are currently in production for Ikea Doha Festival City, Qatar.

Construction work on the Doha Festival City retail destination is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2014.

IKEA, part of the Al-Futtaim Group, will be developed under the first phase of construction and the 32,000 sq m store is set for completion in Q4 2012, with the remaining elements of Doha Festival City due for delivery two years later.

Joining Ikea will be other leading international and local brands already expressing strong interest in the development. Doha Festival City will also offer an entertainment and leisure complex, automotive showrooms and international hotels.

New Office Build in Progress

Work has started on a 6,000 sq ft office building that will replace existing office accommodation and also provide additional manufacturing space to the adjoining factory.

The two-storey building will be ready for occupation by December 2011.

HDS’ managing director, Doug Hart says that new building will improve the use of the site, improving vehicular access, providing better parking and give the company far better office space.
